Your job

Much more than making coffee, copying, and filing. You will go through all the relevant departments at ASCA, a company of the HERING Group, and gain experience not only in the commercial sector but also in the operational area, i.e., our production. Your tasks are diverse, and you’ll lay the perfect foundation for your professional future.

 

Your main responsibilities

  • Commercial tasks, e.g., in finance or human resources
  • Organization and coordination of office tasks
  • Communication with colleagues and business partners via email, letter, or phone

 

Your profile

  • Enjoyment in working with numbers and texts
  • Computer skills and some experience with MS Office
  • Organizational talent, strong communication skills, and helpfulness

 

Overview

  • Duration of apprenticeship: 3 years (shortening possible)
  • Salary: 1.080,00 € / 1.200,00 € / 1.450,00 € 
  • 30 days of vacation per year
  • Great prospects, e.g., further training to become a business economist or a degree in business administration

In 2000, I started my apprenticeship as an office communications clerk at HERING. After completing my training, I was able to take part in HERING’s junior development program. As a result, from 2007 until the birth of my first child in 2012, I held the position of Head of International Sales. After returning from parental leave in 2014, I began working as a project management assistant. Following the birth of my second child in 2016, I took another three years of parental leave. Today, I am happy to be back on board at HERING. I mainly support International Sales and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to balance both my career and family life.

The main task of a train driver is to supply the construction site with the required building materials – for example, wagons with ballast or sleepers. What matters most is that the requested materials are delivered punctually and reliably. I’ve now been working in this profession for ten years. Thanks to the constantly changing work locations, it never gets boring: conditions on site are always different, and you get to meet many new people.
