The Extra Benefits of Working at HERING

At HERING, we believe in long-term collaboration with our employees. It is not unusual for us to look back on decades of company loyalty and even several generations working at HERING. To ensure this tradition continues, our employees benefit from a wide range of advantages.

Alongside flexible working time models and remote work options, a key focus of employee development is on continuous training and professional growth. For this reason, we established the HERING Academy on our campus several years ago, offering a diverse program of courses. In addition, we maintain a close cooperation with the Business School Siegen.

Trainer Ramazan Tas
After completing my training as a track construction specialist, I was offered a position in the HERING Railway Construction division. Since then, I have completed various further training courses: specialist in special track construction, certified foreman, trainee, assistant site manager in structural and civil engineering, and most recently the trainer certification. Currently, I often work in the office, where I oversee projects. My tasks include planning construction processes, coordinating personnel, ordering materials, and taking part in site meetings.

I feel very comfortable at HERING and can easily imagine working here for many more years!

Employee Marion Hees
In 2000, I began my training as management assistant in office communication at HERING. After completing my apprenticeship, I was able to take part in HERING’s junior talent development program. As a result, from 2007 until the birth of my first child in 2012, I held the position of Head of International Sales.
After returning from parental leave in 2014, I started working as an Assistant Project Manager. Following the birth of my second child in 2016, I took another three years of parental leave.

Today, I am glad to be back on board at HERING. I mainly support the International Sales department and am very grateful for the opportunity to successfully balance my career and family life.

HERING-Locomotive Hartmut
The main task of a train driver is to supply construction sites with the required building materials – for example, wagons loaded with track ballast or sleepers. Above all, it is essential that the requested materials are delivered punctually and reliably.

I have now been working in this profession for ten years. Thanks to the constantly changing work locations, the job never gets boring: each site has its own conditions, and you get to meet many new people along the way.
