Apprenticeship Coating Technician
Environmentally friendly, highly innovative, and a valuable contribution to the energy transition: organic photovoltaics.
ASCA GmbH & Co. KG, based in Kitzingen, is part of the HERING Group and one of the world’s leading companies in the field of organic photovoltaics (OPV).
As a process mechanic for coating technology, you’ll use various machines and systems to coat plastic films with ultra-thin, electricity-generating materials. You’ll also be responsible for further processing these films into finished products, including testing and quality control.
How long does the apprenticeship last?
Process mechanics usually start their training on August 1st.
The apprenticeship lasts 3 years, with the possibility of shortening it.
Is an apprenticeship in construction worth it?
Definitely! Here’s the current apprentice pay scale, depending on the year of training:
€1,080 | €1,300 | €1,450
On top, you’ll get 30 days of vacation per year and the Deutschlandticket (Germany ticket). Not bad, right?
How does the apprenticeship work?
In addition to your training in the company, you will attend the Gottlieb-Daimler-Schule in Sindelfingen.
Both together prepare you perfectly for your exams.
What comes after the apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is the perfect career start or a springboard for further training. Possible next steps:
- Further training as an industrial foreman or technician
- Studies, e.g. in process engineering
