Construction Equipment Technician

These specialists work in our workshop and take care of the construction equipment returning from construction sites. They repair, maintain, and inspect excavators, wheel loaders, and more. They are the go-to experts when it comes to technical questions and always have a solution at hand. In urgent cases, they even head out to construction sites to provide first aid – to the machines, of course!

Apprenticeship plus higher school qualification

By attending additional classes alongside vocational school, you can earn your advanced technical college entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) without much extra effort. The only requirement: you need to have completed intermediate secondary school (Mittlere Reife) as a foundation.

Trainer Tobias Kreuter
Things do break down on our construction sites from time to time. That’s when we, as mechatronics technicians, come into play. In our workshop, we make sure all the machines are up and running again – and we’re only satisfied when everything works perfectly. Boredom? Not a chance. Every day brings new challenges, and sometimes we even head straight out to the site to provide first aid to the machines.

HERING offers excellent training. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will always be supported by qualified trainers and an in-house instructor who will specifically prepare you for your classes and exams.

How long does the apprenticeship last?

Training usually starts on August 1st.

The apprenticeship takes 3.5 years, with the possibility of shortening it.

02

Is an apprenticeship in construction worth it?

Absolutely! Here’s the current apprentice pay scale, depending on the year of training:

€1,080 | €1,300 | €1,550 | €1,650

On top, you’ll also receive holiday and Christmas bonuses. Plus, 30 vacation days per year.
