Dual Study Program and StudiumPlus at HERING
In a dual study program or StudiumPlus, theory at the university or master school and practice in the company are perfectly coordinated. One of our cooperation partners is the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM). The knowledge you acquire in the lecture hall can be put to good use in the company right away.
This way, you gain valuable professional experience from day one – and have a real advantage over graduates who rely solely on academic studies.

HERING offers three study models:
Dual Study Program Railway Engineering
A solid foundation in engineering sciences. The Dual Study Program in Railway Engineering gives you a strong foundation in the field of engineering. You will complete your university studies at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) and support your practice company during lecture-free periods. Engineers are in high demand – for example, to drive forward the construction of new railway systems and the renovation of existing infrastructure.
StudiumPlus Civil Engineering
StudiumPlus – a full academic degree with extra work experience. StudiumPlus is a full-fledged university program with the added value of professional experience. As a student, you are enrolled at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) and at the same time hold a study contract (not an apprenticeship contract) with a company. In addition to technical expertise, StudiumPlus also provides you with important personal skills.
Triale Study Program in Craft Management
The Triale Study Program is a compact course organized by the Chamber of Crafts in Cologne and the University of Applied Sciences for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, with a duration of four and a half years. In addition to the master school and the master craftsman’s examination, the program also includes classes for the business economist qualification at the Chamber of Crafts in Cologne.
