Student Internship at HERING
Take the chance and experience our training professions live during an internship!
A typical internship lasts between one and three weeks. During this time, you can find out whether a career is right for you – or maybe not.
At HERING, you can complete your internship in the following professions:
- Carpenter in our joinery
- Concrete and reinforced concrete worker, precast concrete worker or building materials tester in our precast concrete plant
- Electronics technician for energy and building technology in our assembly hall for sanitary facilities
- Warehouse logistics specialist or warehouse clerk at our construction yard or in the central warehouse
- Draughtsman/woman in one of our planning offices
- Mechatronics technician for agricultural and construction machinery or construction equipment operator in our workshop
Student Internship in Kitzingen
At our ASCA site in Kitzingen, we also offer you the chance to do an internship. Here, we develop and create innovative solutions for sustainable energy. To find out whether a vocational training profession suits you, we offer the following areas for a one- to three-week internship:
- Administration, e.g. in office management
- Production, e.g. in surface processing and finishing
- Research & Development, e.g. in the development of innovative processes
SchulePLUS
SchulePlus is a dual project within a cooperation between Johann-Textor-Schule and training companies in the Haiger region – including HERING.
Taking part in SchulePlus makes it easier for you to move from school to vocational training.
Practical Year – Gap Year Südwestfalen
You’ve finished school but you’re not sure which path to take? Then why not try the Gap Year Südwestfalen! Within one year, you can complete up to three internships and discover what really suits you.
Student Internship
For a student internship at HERING, you should be at least in 8th grade. All you need is a short application including your name, address, contact details (e-mail or phone number) and your preferred area of work.
Girls Day and Boys Day
It’s not only men who can work on excavators and not only women who can handle office jobs. At HERING, we can prove it to you! So take your chance, join us and experience an action-packed day.
SchulePlus – a project of Johann-Textor-Schule Haiger
SchulePlus is a dual project in cooperation between Johann-Textor-Schule and training companies in the Haiger region. Its goal is to make the transition from school to vocational training easier. The project name refers to the pioneering link between studies and career “StudiumPlus” at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen as well as the program “LehrePlus” for obtaining the advanced technical college entrance qualification. HERING also takes part in this project as a training company.

You’ve finished school but you’re not sure which path to take?

The Gap Year Südwestfalen is a practical year, where you can complete up to three internships in different companies and professions in the South Westphalia region – all within just one year. It gives you diverse insights in the shortest time. The Gap Year is organized by the Südwestfalen Agency – from start to finish, with only one single application.

What I liked most about my apprenticeship was getting to know all the departments and learning about different processes within the company. A big plus for me was that my opinion was valued and that I could always get help whenever I had a problem. We were also very well supported academically through the company’s internal training sessions – a place where you could ask questions that hadn’t been answered at school. I really enjoyed my apprenticeship at HERING and I’m already looking forward to the tasks ahead.

At HERING, further training and employee development are a top priority. After completing a part-time distance learning program, I successfully graduated as a Construction Business Administrator in just 1.5 years! Throughout the entire training, I could fully rely on HERING’s support. Now, I’m excited to put the knowledge I gained through this qualification into practice in my work at HERING.
Construction Business Administrator
Already during the job interview, I was made aware of the wide range of benefits and the flexible working hours. After the birth of my first daughter, I had the opportunity to take two months of parental leave and support my wife in completing her teacher training. Those two months with my daughter were a wonderful and intense time that I would never want to miss.
Technical Project Manager
After completing my training as a railway construction worker, I started working at HERING Railway Construction. Since then, I have completed various further training courses: specialist railway construction worker, certified foreman, trainee, construction management assistant in building and civil engineering – and most recently, the trainer qualification.
Currently, I often work in the office, supporting projects. My tasks include planning construction processes, ordering staff and materials, and participating in site meetings.
I feel very comfortable at HERING and can imagine working here for many more years!
