A strong foundation in engineering: the dual study program in Railway Engineering. You’ll complete your university studies at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) and, during lecture-free periods, gain valuable practical experience with HERING, where you have a study contract.
Railway Engineering – Put your horsepower on the rails
In the coming years, billions will be invested in the railway sector. To turn these plans into reality, engineers are needed to drive the construction and renovation of rail infrastructure. In addition to technical expertise, the dual study program in Railway Engineering equips you with key personal skills such as effective work, motivating others, and clear communication. Special focus is also placed on the use of modern information technologies.

How it works:
Your studies start with the winter semester and a one-week introduction. To prepare, you may voluntarily attend one-week refresher courses in math and physics beforehand. During lecture-free periods, you’ll return to HERING for your practical phases. Here, we also support you in writing your Bachelor’s thesis, which completes your degree.
