StudiumPlus Engineering
Construction never stops! Add to that technological changes and increasingly complex tasks that present major challenges for the construction industry. To master these challenges, highly qualified employees are needed. StudiumPlus is a full university degree with an extra: professional experience. As a student, you are enrolled at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) and at the same time have a study contract (not a training contract) with a company.
Civil Engineering – Personal, Practical, Professional
In addition to technical expertise, StudiumPlus also provides important personal skills such as working effectively, motivating others, and clear communication.
- Specialization Construction Management, Design & Infrastructure:
In this broad specialization, you’ll learn to plan and implement various construction projects and will be able to establish yourself in all areas of classical civil engineering.
- Specialization Technical Building Equipment:
Every building, regardless of its use, includes a wide range of technical systems such as electrical, sanitary, heating, and air-conditioning technology. In this specialization, you’ll learn how to plan these systems and integrate them into the building process.
StudiumPlus Civil Engineering is right for you if you …
- are interested in mathematics and science;
- want to implement your own creative ideas;
- can keep a cool head in stressful situations;
- have a high level of motivation and performance;
- enjoy variety and want to actively shape the future!

How it works:
You’ll start in August with an introduction phase in the company before beginning your studies in October with the winter semester.
Theory and practice phases alternate, and in the fifth semester you’ll complete a project study, working largely within the company on larger projects. In the seventh semester, you’ll write your Bachelor’s thesis parallel to lectures, completing your degree.
